Memoirs: Far-Flung

(This is a mix of snippets from yesterday's hits and today's favorites!)
Some days the sadness
of your distance
clings to me like relentless tides to the
Moon earthbound
guided
salt and sting.
Other days, the reach
of your yearning undoes me
with its full and smiling call, all the ennead
seducing me, renascent,
and innocuously through each night
like an eternal comet, gravity-culled
inswing. Somehow, now,
I am hurled round the sun
a far-flung outswing
igniting a path precious and free
I call on my courage to stay these stars
'til my stars no longer stay the sky!
that ancient path of
round and round
broken into sounds
of your laughter
into mine
into mine,
your eyes like gravity-discriminate
my hands luring yours centripetally
until the electricity contracts
energy to fusion
to the power of two
divided by zero,
all constants overthrown
