Floored

My heart keeps melting

Across my chest

And the heat slides and swelters

Throughout the rest of my body.

I am floored.

My mouth is still hanging open

From something I yelled at myself

For thinking

Then it came true.

And it wasn’t even like a dream

This was the most real thing

That has ever happened to me.

God, give me more of that kiss

I want it to wind around every inch

Of our bodies

Diving into every moment of skin and lips

Lasting for three days

And forever in the world

Since the stars were shaken

Each of the few seconds we touched.

Every atom of being

Celebrating ecstatic union

I can’t stop closing my eyes

And reliving . . .
